Appointed the Kenyan government minister for sport, culture and art, Dr Arero brings an appreciation of the value of education and art to developing effective individuals.

Dr Arero's interest in Activation dates back to near our beginnings.  10 years ago Dr Hassan Wario Arero was one of the first to sign up for our fundraising walk in Greenwich Park.  Back then he lived in London and was the curator for the African collection at the Horniman Museum, before joining the British Museum.    His encouragement at the outset to keep working didn't waver - he knew the benefits of working with a group of orphans.

10 years later, we are delighted he has joined us, a blossoming of a relationship that started over a decade ago.
